Dominated by fruity aromas: citrus fruits, pear, plum, greengage apples, tropical fruits. Notes of almond, honey and sweet spices. The texture is creamy, delicate, sensual. The wines are full-bodied and balanced. This great vintage is a true masterpiece of balance and harmony.
This wine has been alcoholic fermented in oak barrels for 10 months.
The ample acidity characteristic of Vouvray ensures the structural attributes necessary to longevity, and the high levels of residual sugar present in the sweeter varieties give the acidity a concentrated substance to break down over the years. The extent to which fine, sweet Vouvray can fruitfully age will surprise most: some don’t reach their full potential for a century or more.
Wine pairing:
You can have it on its own as an aperitif, when the taste buds are still fresh. During a meal, the classic pairings: foie gras with figs or gingerbread, blue cheese such as Fourme d'Ambert or Stilton ... And also, dishes with candied fruits: meat or poultry with prunes, figs, dates ... With dishes dominated by tropical fruit, and desserts with caramelized or candied fruit. Or, on its own at the end of a meal, to tantalize your taste buds!
