Saumur-Champigny | La Seigneurie
La Seigneurie, or its translation 'The Lordship', name comes from the founder of the Saumur hospital, Mr. Seigneur, who had a house built in the heights of Saumur.

About the Domaine
Its name comes from the founder of the Saumur hospital, Mr. Seigneur, who had a house built in the heights of Saumur. This house was bought by the Foucher family after WWII. The house / estate still belongs to the family.
La Seigneurie was created in the early 1970s, on the old estate which had become too small to develop. They are located in the city of Saumur, 900m from the Château de Saumur.
A 1st space is dedicated to storage and aging barrels and the 2nd space houses the vats and the tasting area.
The vineyard is HVE (High Environmental Value) certification.
