Vouvray | Domaine de la Châtaigneraie
The Domaine de la Châtaigneraie is located in the heart of the Vouvray vineyard, a zone of controlled designation of origin which extends upstream from Tours, along the right bank of the Loire.
The arrival of the vine in Vouvray dates back to the year 372, where Saint Martin reports the planting of the vine at the monastery of Marmoutier between Tours and Rochecorbon. Our mellow Vouvray "Cuvée Saint Martin" was named in his honor.
Le Vouvray has since remained true to its motto: “Je resjois les cuers” (I delight hearts).
