The Savennières of Domaine TAILLANDIER is produced on 5.5 hectares surrounded
by walls near the church of Savennières (Anjou: Loire Valley). It is one of the
greatest dry or semi-dry white wines in France. The first SAVENNIERES were produced
by the monks in the 11th century.

Terroir: This wine is produced on Coteaux de Loire facing south. The soil is made up
of successive layers of schist.

Grape variety: 100% Chenin

Cultivation method: It is harvested by hand by successive sorting (4 sorts for the
DEMI-SEC “Cuvée SELECTION”).
Vinification: It is traditional and lasts for 5 long months with clarification by
repeated racking.
Filtration: This wine from Domaine TAILLANDIER has not been filtered on plates in
order to preserve all the character of its terroir.

Tasting: This Savennières is a dry or semi-dry white wine with a nose of jasmine and
ferns. It can be defined as a fruity wine, with great amplitude in the mouth. The
minerality of this exceptional terroir is found in the mouth.

Aging: She is exceptional, around 10 years old. The SAVENNIERES reaches its
fullness after 4 to 5 years.

Food Pairing: For the SEC salmon, Loire fish, fish in sauce, shellfish and for
the DEMI-SEC: foie-gras, aperitif or dessert.
